WELCOME TO CTC YOUTH EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

CTC works with very vibrant youth groups comprising of various communities from around Maai- Mahiu area. Our role is to bridge the generation gap in endeavor of promoting sustainable development. Our main aim is to empower youth to be responsible in the community and enlighten them in developing, nurturing and promoting their talents and also discussing issues affecting our society/ community.

Objectives

1. To have a friendly environment where young people can express themselves freely.

2. To have a community where boys and girls have equal opportunity to access information, education and health

3. To nuture and expose the talents of young people.

4. To have a community where young people are responsible for their health.

5. To promote education among young people in the community

Youth talent show and back to school games bursted out to be a big event where over 300 youths turned up for this event. Different games were played and our youths dominated in all the games, enjoy the photos below and wait for more to come soon!!!!

Ubuntu day

CTC youth members participating in community service day (Ubuntu day) cleaning the town and clearing the bushes as part of the youth program activity.
The day was so exciting when the youths were given some T- Shirts donated to them by Jimmy Kamel from the United States of America and they also received 1 pair of goal nets, volleyball net and two volleyball balls. Later in the afternoon they enjoyed playing soccer for both boys and girls.

We will be giving weekly updates on the youth program blog and we will also be accompanying it with photos taken in the field.
